Well… not exactly. This curious little project from a Newgrounds contributor wanted to emulate some of the features found in the sandbox creativity game Minecraft. Unfortunately, Minecraft Flash didn’t work out so well, and the test project seems to have been abandoned shortly after it was begun. Cheesy ripped graphics? Check. Too-simple gameplay that allows little more than clicking on a few blocks? Check. Night and day cycles and a few enemies? Check. Nothing else to play with? Check!
Don’t expect this game to entertain you for more than a few minutes. Heck, if Minecraft Flash entertains you at all, consider yourself lucky! But it’s an interesting idea having the Minecraft universe in 2D, even if it is little more than a shadow of the real thing.
