The classic addictive flash game Desktop Tower Defense which was first developed in March 2007 by Paul Preece has managed to secure a $1,000,000 seed funding investment from Lightspeed Venture Partners to release a new gaming site named Casual Collective.

Preece who is the CEO runs the business with co-founder and fellow gaming friend David Scott who is the original developer of Flash Element TD. Leaving their jobs to concentrate on this project, Preece and Scott are aiming to add fresh game content on a bi-weekly basis.

The site comes with social network elements in an attempt to turn visitors into members and an upgraded version of Desktop Tower Defense which now has a multi-player feature!

Some of their other game titles consist of the promising ‘Minions‘ which is a real time strategy battle game flaunting some very nice graphics. The aim of the game is to earn experience points to spend on upgrades and take down the oppositions team base before they take out yours.

We feel its pretty safe to say that these stupidly addictive free games are going to cause chaos in the gaming industry!
